GRC Jade Stone Paint is a Venetian plaster — an artistic decorative coating that imitates polished marble. The stone imitation is lifelike and the hand feel is extremely smooth, so a finished wall reads as worked stone rather than a printed pattern, and the natural, pure texture is one that time does not wear out.

The material is lime and marble dust bound in a water-based plaster, applied by trowel in thin layers and burnished to a polish. One product produces both a marble and a leather effect, and the sealed finish stands up to moisture, mould and everyday dirt.

Construction Steps

Before construction:

• The base surface should be solid, flat, neutral and clean.
• The wall must be fully dry, with a pH below 10 and a moisture content below 8%.
• Check the flatness of the base surface before starting.

1. Sealing primer: apply one coat of alkali-resistant sealing primer. Dilute with clean water by 3–10% according to working habit and stir evenly. The primer improves adhesion and evens out the paint surface. Leave 4–8 hours to dry before the next step.
2. Medium coat: apply one coat of same-colour medium coat by roller, diluted 3–5%. Coverage is about 3 ㎡/kg. Leave 4–8 hours to dry completely.
3. Main paint: apply two coats by trowel, diluted 3–5%. Coverage is 1–1.5 ㎡/kg. Trowel in irregular directions, layer by layer, until the layered effect appears. Leave 4–8 hours between coats.
4. Wax polish: once the main paint has dried, polish the surface with wax to bring up the sheen.
